Nutrition and Vitamins

Vitamins are vegetable or animal substances. They have no nutritional value, such as carbohydrates. But their task is no less important: For all metabolic processes Vitamins play a key role. Depending on the type they fulfill different functions: the fighter against serious diseases to which the substance of beauty.

Vitamins are important nutrients that must be supplied in the diet because the body can not produce itself. The only exception: Vitamin D, sunlight is made in the skin. It must however be supplied with additional food, as the sun rays do not cover the demand.

So far, there were 13 known vitamins, which are divided into water-soluble and fat-soluble groups. They were able to reproduce it, but also the boost immune system was impaired.

Vitamins are sometimes very sensitive - heat, oxygen and water can destroy it. The most sensitive - in addition to folic acid - Vitamin C. Some vitamins - like A and D - are found in nature only as precursors. Only the so-called pro-vitamins in the body in real vitamins are transformed.

The water-soluble include: B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12, folic acid, biotin and vitamin C.

The fat-soluble include: Vitamin A, D, E and K.

Vitamin C (ascorbic acid)

Vitamin C is the best known and most important vitamins. It plays a major role in the immune system by increasing immune cells together with increased activity. There is one - as well as vitamin E and A - the antioxidant vitamins. These vitamins absorb the so-called free radicals. This refers to harmful substances, which are also done for cancer and other diseases with responsibility. It is sensitive to light, air, water and heat.

Vitamin C strengthens immune system, connective tissue, blood vessel walls, wound healing, gums, skin, supports eyesight and nerves affected positive mood, concentration, sleep and stress management. It is involved in the formation of connective tissue, facilitating the absorption of iron in the small intestine and provides resist aging process.

Other tasks:
* Formation of the stress hormones.
* Formation of the neurotransmitter serotonin, which is responsible for feelings of tiredness and saturation.
* Removal of toxic heavy metals such as lead, nickel and cadmium.
* Vitamin C is carnation - together with the enzymes lysine

Symptoms of deficiency
